Grotte di Frasassi

Grotte di Frasassi

We will always search for ideal place for peace, where you can just be silent and admire. Sometimes we can do nothing but accept power and intelligence of nature, because only nature is capable of giving us unique feelings, like those in Frasassi Caves.

Discovered in 1970s, iconic Frasassi Caves are located within Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Regional Natural Park in Genga (AN) make inimitable impression of strong light going high in the sky during mornings. Surprising treasure and hidden jewel that has carved its roots along wonderful karst limestone rocks over the centuries.

Drop by drop during thousands of years, nature has done what it does best, this time to the largest underground caves so far discovered in our country as well as ranked among the largest in the world.

Frasassi Caves remains true wonder for the eyes, a long cave formed by several rooms and runners that show us what tenacity and persistence can be created by nature. A succession of stalactites and stalagmites, this site is pure and beautiful, because this is what they are.

Work of design, masterpiece of art, iconic sculpture created by the greatest artist of all centuries, Frasassi Caves demonstrate pure magic of nature creation.

If you want to see this magic, our tip is to visit Frasassi caves on Sundays with family or friends. There is an option to make private speleological visits by reservation only, where you will be provided with overalls, helmet and footwear to explore the caves more deeply.

A guided tour lasts about 2 hours and costs only 35 € (like entrance fee in nightclubs) and it is really worth it.
